S2R Question
I'm thinking of picking up a new bike, and the S2R is one of em...Has anyone rode the Monster S2R or knows anyone that likes or dislikes it? I love the way it looks - that streetfighter style with a Ducati touch. Thanks in advance!

I like'em allot! As fast as a 996 but, as comfy as a Monster!
It or what ever the next generation is, most likely will replace my current 1996 M900 Monster, when the time comes.

I believe you are thinking of the S4R. The S2R uses the air cooled desmoduo 803cc engine. It would take a talented rider indeed to keep an M800 up with a 996.

man, that short wheel base and seating position almost f'd me one day. I hopped from my 748 onto one and almost had a tank slapper because i went over a slight bump and I hardly had any weight on the front tire. Same thing happened to another friend of mine that owned one except he went down and nearly totalled the bike.

It does take a few mile to adjust but, I just embarrassed two guys on a GSXR600 & R6 today. QUOTE from the GSXR rider (Damn you can ride the hell out of that Monster) end quote.
The unaware expect it from a Super bike (748 or 998) but a Monster. I love it!
