Default Ducati Sound

What is it about the ducati that gives it that distinct "ducati sound?"

It's got a lot to do with the angle of the cylinders. A harley at 45deg gives it the "thump, thump" sound. It's the long amount of crank rotation between firing.
A ducati is 90deg which is a pefect balance. This gives it a smoother v-twin sound. All other noises with Ducatis (dry clutch/valve train) are just a bonus!

If all I wanted was to go fast in a straight line, I'd buy a Busa.
Since roads and race tracks have corners, Ducatis rule !!

I love the sound of a Duc Superbike...especially one with 60.5mm WSB pipes, Pistal HC pistons, flowed and ported heads, 151.4 rwhp, over 80 ft/lbs of torque, and weighing 403 lbs wet. All without a single maintenance problem. Ever.

And Japanese sportbikes, regardless of displacement, don't pass it on the track...only on the street.

Ducati's rule second to my RC51 on tracks or straight roads.

Ask FryDaddy how my 04 999 sounded with Termi's

My 05 999 is still awaiting the Termi exhaust so right now my clutch is louder than my engine.
