I picked up my new Ducati on 10/30/2004
I picked up my new Ducati on 10/30/2004
2004 Ducati 998 Matrix
I got a lot of saddle time in since then. 381 miles when I parked it tonight!
I still have one more day off, hope it dos'nt rain.
This bike wont set and collect dust. It will be ridden, even though it is a Matrix.
I just loved the deep forest green paint.
The only mod's I plan on are bolt on, such as pipes, ecu, and some carbon stuff!
I wont to be abel to put it back stock when or if I wont to.
I'm going to put a few more mile on her before I decide on what sprocket combo to go with. It seams to be to high geared for the tight mountain roads I ride.
Any suggestions on this are welcome.

go up one gear in back and you'll get more pull, and still not change cruise rpms by too much.

+1 in the front is a very common "upgrade" for most Ducati SBK owners, it's done on mine and I like it alot. I'd reccomend it! Also, congrats on the beautiful bike!

I think he meant -1 in the front ( down one )
Going 1 down on the countershaft sprocket is like going 2 up on the rear sprocket but easier / cheaper, you get quicker acceleration but lose a little on top end.
Just DONT do both lol ( one down up front AND 2 up in the rear )
Nice bike , dont see many of them around.
Good Luck and post some more pics in the Duc owners roll call area.

damn i love that bike. i wish ducati would've stayed with that style instead of going to the current 999/749 style.

A 996 drew me to the shop!
They sold it before I could work a deal!
Approved me for a 999S but, the Matrix in the sexy green paint and old body just got my attention.
