Default L-twin

What the heck is an L-twin engine? (Ducati Monster 620, inparticular)

it's called this because the cylinder head is 90 dagrees from each other. there it resembles an L.

Typical twins are V twins , derived from the angle of the cylinders forming a V
Ducati makes L twin engines , twins that resemble V twins except the cyclinders are angled wider than a V , into a shape more like a L.
Alot of people just call them all V twins , but some are L twins.
