Default twice in one week!! pics/vid

got to take my bike out to the strip this past wednesday and saturday, i think i'm hooked. i originally took my bike to the drag strip because my car is broken, but i think i'm having more fun on my bike.....dont tell my car though

i ran about the same times on wednesday and saturday, most being 11.6x runs with one low 11.5 run on wendnesday and a higher 11.5 yesterday. my best run was 11.528@117 w/ 1.858 60' and a .079 light. i actually spun 2nd pretty good, so that could have been a 11.4x run, who knows.

yesterday was especially fun because i was 5-0 all against faster bikes. silly squids and there shiny new bikes, haha. i'd be pretty pissed if i had a brand new 636 or r6 and lost to ten year old F3 with a slip on.

here's a few pictures from yesterday:

i think someone i knew took some video, i'll post a few clips if i get ahold of them.

Damn...those ARE some good times you ran. You definitely would've kicked my ass.
I've only managed a best 11.45 @ 122 mph with R/T 0.73.

We're heading to a different strip this weekend with supposedly better traction. I'm hoping to atleast get close to your times (if not, I'm gonna get an F3! )

suwand28, you're not having traction problems are you? i've spun second gear once or twice, but thats solved with a better burn out. i wouldn't think traction would ever be a problem for a stock wheelbase 600.

spooln, i'm having an absolute blast as i'm sure you can tell. visible improvment makes it that much better.

Not really sure if I do have any traction problems. I think I'm just trying to reassure myself that it's the track and not me.
(oh...and I never do a burnout prior to a run, maybe I should)

i can launch just fine without a burnout, but if i bang second hard it'll spin. i didn't do a burnout on my very first run at the track and i wheelied on the launch and then got way squirly going into second. i haven't run without a burnout since. if you dont need a burnout though, i wouldn't bother wasting the tires unless you just want to do a burnout ;)

The track we're heading to doesn't have better traction, it's just a faster track. Traction is actually better at Fayetteville, but Rockingham is just plain faster. No clue why....elevation could be better, might possibly be a slight downhill slope at Rockingham, etc. Not sure at all though.

yep, stock wheelbase. the swingarm on f2's and f3's are pretty much stuck at stock wheelbase unless you can fit another arm on it or go custom.

here are the numbers on my 11.37 run:

.137 rt
1.837 60'
4.800 330
7.299 1/8
97.827
9.483 1000

11.377@ 119.370
