Cool Cbr600rr07 Vs Gsxr750k7

Im Not A Drag Racer By Any Means But Apperantly Some People In My Shop Have Heard Or Seem To Think The New 600rr Can Beat A 07gsxr750 In A Drag Race. Now Obviously It Always Comes Down To Rider But Does Anyone Have Any First Hand Knowledge Of This? Im Going With The 750???anyone?

..... Ignore the ignorant people at your shop. If all the constants were in place and the only variable being the bikes. The 750 will eat the 600 hands down. Now I will continue ...... The GSXR 750 is called the giant slayer for a reason year after year.

I'm not being biased due to owning one, nor saying that I am a pro by any means. But I thought I had heard that the 600RR was debated on being the all around mid-class bike of 07. Not saying that it would beat it in a drag, just curious if that is correct.

Cool 600 Vs 750?

Iv been roadracing on and off for around 10yrs and even in turns I think this would be hard to accomplish on a 600 even if it were a tight configured layout.

P.S. BOUT THE CAPS? THESE ARE ALL CAPS!

750k6/7s enhale 600s down any long straight on track.
wouldn't expect anything but defeat for 600 class in a 1/4 mile w/evenly skilled pilots

the 07' 600rr has 118 horses and the 05' 750 had 120 bhp. they probably said it because of the praise the 07' 600rr is getting for it's lighter frame and powerful engine. i was looking at the r6, but the honda is the better bike imo. i've read the 05'-06' 600RR doing the 1/4 in 10.8 seconds and the 750 doing it in the low to mid 10s. i would imagine that the lighter and more powerful 07' 600rr would come really close. hp isn't the only equation in figuring out which bike is the fastest. the weight of the bike also makes a difference. i'd imagine a 175 horsepower 600 would take a stock hayabusa in the 1/4 mile because the advantage due to power to weight. correct me if i'm wrong.

bikes are getting faster so by 08 when the 750 is updated it will probably take the 600rr if it doesn't already now.

Please, give it a rest. Dyno's lie and they all don't read the same. There is no replacement for displacement and when that's not an option you use a power adder. No 600 is going to make a 750 sweat unless the rider hands it over. Things may look good on paper but, take it out to the strip and you will see. Plus, the fools that do the comparisons for magazines are rarely decent riders that know how to extract the best out of a bike. Also, don't forget .3-.5 difference is alot.

Weight isn't always a bad thing. Heavier bikes 60 ft better than lighter bikes due to less front end lift. When alot of whp is achieved weight placement becomes a pretty big factor. Then traction issues become a factor and so forth.
