06 GSX-R 1K First trip to the track
So Here are the results from last friday night, Only got 3 runs in because of alot of oil downs and one car hit the wall at half track later in the night so that burned up alot of time
First run my 60 ft was 1.916, had a hard time seeing my shift light and didnt come out of the hole very good.. 7.127 1/8th 10.687 @ 136.75
Second run 60 ft 1.862 my 1/8th was 6.930 and 1/4 mile was 10.438 @ 139.72
Third run 60ft was 1.830 the 1/8th was 6.809 and 1/4 was 10.301@ 140.18
Bike was not lowered at all, not strapped, Arrow Race Tech slip on, BMC filter, Ivans TRE, Graves smog block off plates, -1 front sprocket and tuned by Full Spectrum Racing w/out a power commander... 164.67 rwhp.
Monday i ordered Brocks front end radial mount strap kit and Brocks 3 position lowering links... Those should be here on wed, and as soon as they get in I am leaving work early to go home and install both and head to the track... I am hoping for 9.8's or so... I will post more times prob on thursday and again on saturday... Hoping to run wed and friday nights weather permitting

You may want to look at going +2 in the rear and that should also help your 60' time. Keep us posted.

-2 is too much. By no means not a good setup. Excessive chain and gear wear. It might also cause binding and add more drag to the driveline. If I was you I would do -1/+2. It works pretty well but, as usually results and tuning may vary.

My shop said -2 is the max to go down in the front without running into problems like those... He said if i want to do any other gear changes that i need to do it in the rear... if i do decide to do changes in the rear i will do it only right before i go to the track and take it off when i get home, i will prob run a slick or race compound when i do that

How many teeth does the stock front have? 16 or more? If so, -2 is fine.

Don't run a slick. You will be paying for something that you can't utilize being that your on the stock swingarm. Pirelli makes a really good tire that is track and strip tested.
