Default first time on two wheels

last wednesday was the first time i had ever raced a bike at the strip, and i had an absolute blast. i was on my F3 which is piped/jetted and -1, +2....not the greatest drag bike i must say.

my first run was a bit of a crazy ride. they had the bikes running on a pro tree and i got a little frisky with the clutch and did a huge wheelie right off the line. i started drifting towards the wall a bit so i shifted into second early, then ended up spinning and getting a little squirly. after that it was smooth sailing, and came off the track with the biggest grin i've had in recent memory. i ran a high 11.7@ 118 w/ 1.92 60' and a .136 RT, not bad for being rusty.

after my first, i had a few crappy runs either fighting wheelies or bogging. i ended up getting eliminated first round after doing a scary high wheelie and then proceeding to rack myself when i chopped the throttle.

anyway, i could go on and on. needless to say i had a blast, and i can't wait to go again.

glad to hear you managed to keep yourself alive.

next time control the front wheel elevation with the clutch and get your ass over the front end to keep it down.

That's not a bad 60ft time for your first time out. It's pretty hard to launch and not wheelie on stock wb. Anyways, congrats and I bet there was a silly grin underneath it all.
