Default Gadsen does 9s on a stock R6

Except for lowering it abit he pounded out a sub 10 run on a stocker.

Rickey is a pilot alright!

By the way........How is -1 on the countershaft stock???

Stock = Homologation

Homologate=
2. transitive verb automobiles officially recognize car model or component: to give official recognition to a prototype car or car component, thus allowing it to be used in a race

Stock (adj)
standard, typical, routine, run-of-the-mill, ordinary, normal

Were all bikes fitted with a -1 front sprocket? Pretty amazing though. Even the daytona 650 looked pretty good. I can't even break 117mph on my TT600!

Good question. To keep the comparison true, all should have had the gearing change and adjustments made exact one to the other.

The low trap speed sure sows the rider's skill.

OK it was an slightly altered (lowered, weighted and regeared) other than that bone stock. Also if you read Richard Gadsens first post all the bikes got the same treatment for the initial testing.

Quote:
NOTE, these bikes are the dictionary definition of stock. NO WEIGHT, stock pipes, -1 front sprocket, lowered, no race gas or motor work, and THAT'S IT!!!!

Yeah but "bone stock" should mean just that, BONE STOCK as if straight from the showroom floor.

well, why don't you go talk to some drag racers, and see if they consider a lowering link and a 20$ sprocket stock. Guess what, they do.

I am a long-time drag racer. Strapped, geared or any mods from showroom is not STOCK.

So everyone knows. Under AMA Prostar Rules, the very same Association that Gadson has dominated, the classification would be considered 600 Super Sport.

600 Super Sport =
Any homologation 600 machine, available from showroom, with "bolt-on" modifications/parts which are available for public purchase is the class. THESE ARE NOT "STOCK" MACHINES. Hence the name "SUPER" in Super Sport.

The way the article should have read............."Rickey Gadsen rolls 9's on showroom stock modified 600's". This is the most factual and proper use for what and how the testing was done.
