Finally broke into the 9's
I changed my chain and sprockets. I went to the 520 from the 530. Only 1 up in the rear stock in the front. There was a heads up race Sat. in Gulfport,MS. My first pass of the trailer was a 9.93@138mph. The track was horrible but the bike was at its best. I has some traction issues but when traction wasn't a factor I made a 9.92@139 pass that was my best for the day. I am so happy this day has come.
If anyone had read the grudge race post, this is actually part two of that. The guy that has the busa had asked me to meet him out there. I had beat him again at a neutral track. Next is his home track in Hattiesburg, MS. LOL

This is a first time for me doing head to head @ Gulfport. They usually run one at a time, that is a reason I never like to go there. The track has gone to the dogs. I has dips in the track and there is a no traction gurantee there(lol). I don't see myself going there for many or any bike events. I was told that ever other Friday starting in January there is going to be a bike race if the participation is there. You might want to check it out if you wanna do some racing. Just be careful!!!

I can definately see it happening. My friend let me take his '04 gsxr1000 down the strip and I ran a 10.42. I have never rode his bike before so I took it easy. It is completely stock. the only thing that has been added to that bike was gas and insurance. Still had paper plate. I spun off the line and short shifted. I can totally feel the power that machine has. If you strap and lower it I can see some 9's in your near future for sure.
