Default More launching problems

I'm not necessarily asking for advice, just making a statement about having troubles launching as smoothly as I'd like to. I think I just need to get used to it. I bring the revs up around 8k to 10k and clutch it out trying to maintain acceleration and limit spin. So far I'm fairly decent at this. I manage to pull the front up and carry it a short distance. (totally stock 2005 GSXR 600, except -1 gearing) I have no strap or lowering to my bike so I have to lean up over the tank to prevent looping it under hard acceleration. However once I start moving and it comes time to pull my legs up under me and put them on the pegs I'm having problems. I find myself struggling to pull them up and maintain WOT. The bike wants to continue forward while my body seems to be flying back in the seat causing the front to get light and raise up. I kept finding myself letting out of the throttle while trying to get in position to make the 1-2 shift. It is just pissing me off because i'm not sure exactly how to correct the problem. I'm about ready to just buy an pingel shifter and say screw it. Then I'll just have to push a button and not worry about getting my foot in place.

Rant over.

Now breathe slowly - in out, in out, in out .....

I'm not a drag racing guy myself (though my brother has a street driven non-tubbed low 9 second '68 Camero - so I've been around drag racing for years), but I still hope you solve your weight transfer prob, Good Luck!

What you just read is my opinion and is based on my experiences and the info I have acquired during my life, it's my interpretation and isn't written in stone. Yes, I post long responses regularly because I like to fully explain my views. Don't like it or agree with what I have to say? Then don't read it or respond to it! Respond like an immature idiot to posts of mine and I will just ignore you. Have a nice day.

Not really offering advice but you on the right track looking at an air shifter. You can also look at getting a cut seat to help hold you in position.

When first learning a bike i tend to leave the right foot on the ground and have the left already on the shifter ready to go. may not be a good form for you though. and i love my pingel air shifter.definately worth 3 tenths or more
