Default Suspension settings

What is the best way to set the suspension on a GSXR600 for drag racing?

Thanks,
Brandon

You will want the shock to compress fast and then come back up slow. Just have to mess with the top and bottom screws until you get the right feel in the shock. I don't know any specifics for a GSXR600, sorry.

Brandon,

Suspension should be set/adjusted along with the tire choice as well as tire pressures. Even gearing choices will require additional fine tuning.

As for initial suspension, and GSXR's are not my forte. The goal is to set the suspension so that the energy from launch pushes the machine forward versus upward. Your intitial setting should be near opposite, some near alike of those that you would use for road racing.

It may be a week from now.........I'll try to find some baseline info for you.

Thanks for you help. This is what I found somewhere else, what is your take on that? Would that be a good baseline to start from?

Rear settings - spring soft ,compression at minimum , rebound at max

What about the front?

Let's go with this.........

What rear tire & compound?
What rear tire pressure?
Rear height adjustable?
Rear Axle to SAP at, below or above this parallel?
Front strapped?
Front lowered through the trees?

Numbers please

SAP = Swing Arm Pivot

To be simple.......The measurement from center of axle/pivot to the level ground. With both axel and pivot numbers being compared.

What is the difference in millimeters between the two measurements (RA to Ground & SAP to Ground)?

I should mention that these measurements should be taken with the rider on the machine w/ the gear worn when at the strip. This will take two people to perform correctly and safely.
