I know this might vary strip to strip, state to state, but i appreciate any answers
When can you go to the strip and make practice runs?
I just want to get a clue about my times.
The track closest to me is SouthEastern Dragway, in Dallas, Georgia. Once I took my car there, but I can't remember if that was a Friday or Saturday. I think Saturdays are qualifying and bracket racing, and Fridays are practice, but I am not sure, its been too long. I couldn't find my answers on their website.

Around here Friday night is "Street Night", so street cars and bikes get the track all night. Saturday is test and tune before th bracket racing starts later that evening.
It does widely vary track to track and program to program.
The program might be a "Grudge" or "Street Legals Only" format. If they use this format, it is open for racers and machines that meet program set rules and regulations.
If the racing is designed for points based competition, such a Summit Racing Series, Kerker Racing Series, etc.. These events may be run on a one or two day format. If a one day format, you will have practice, qualifying, eliminations and finals. A two day format may use the first day for open practice or "Test & Tune". It may also use the second half of the first day for qualifying. The second day typically may be used for eliminations and finals, or qualifying, eliminations and finals. This solely depends on the series and the number of participants.
