Default CEL question

I have an 04 955i and am now getting a CEL. Is there any way to read the codes from the light without having to take it to the dealer? Thanks in advance.

I don't think so. Did it just come on. If it is nothing major it will go out in 3 heat and cool down cycles.

Thanks for the info. I topped off my fluids and checked the electronic connections, then cycled through the 3 heat/cool cycles and the light went away.

Safe riding.

you can get a tuneboy and it works the same as triumphs diagnostic tool. it has the added advantage of allawing you to alter your fule mapping.
