Daytona 675 vs. Ninja ZX-6R

I'm looking for opinions from anyone who has ridden both of these bikes. I would especially like to hear from someone who doesn't own either of them, or owns both. I've found that most people have convinced themselves that the bike they own is the best bike on the planet, mostly because they happen to own it and they want to feel good about their investment. So what I'm really looking for is an unbiased opinion.

If you had to buy a Daytona 675 or a Ninja ZX-6R and make that your only bike, which one would you get and why?

I've ridden both bikes on the track...back to back sessions actually. Keep in mind these were both pure track bikes, so there were some performance mods there and there. Of the 2, I much preferred the Triumph. The 675 has a much faster turn-in than the 636 and I liked the the way the bike held in a corner much more. The 675 is a very narrow and tall bike...for many riders, that's a huge turn off.

From a power perspective...I think the 675 would win the drag race, but the 636 had a smoother power delivery with much less engine braking when you come off the throttle. The 675 has A LOT of engine braking.

I can't offer a good comparison the braking power...the 636 had a brembo, steel lines and Vesrah pads...the 675 was stock. No question who was better there.

On rider position, the 675 is quite a bit more aggressive than the 636 by nature. A lot of that has to do with the ride height of the Triumph. If you're on the track, this won't matter much because you're rarely in the seat...on the street, this could be something to consider.

So that's the long and short...I spose if you have specific questions I can give it a shot. If I had to choose...I'd pick the 675 (in fact I did, I bought it the next day)...but I bought it as a track bike and I love it as a track bike.
