Default new 675 owner needs advice re: keys

Hi all - just picked up a lightly-crashed 675 salvage bike today. Should the ignition key also open the tank and seat release, or is there a secondary key that does that? My ignition key will turn the ignition, but not perform those other functions ... I'm anxious to see whether I got scrod on this deal.

Thanks!

Robb

It's the same key.

Opening the seat is a pain at times but the tank should open easily.
Sounds like the ignition may have been switched out?

+1 to the above.

I have a couple bikes that have been slightly wrecked and have mis-matched ignition/gascap/seat locks.

Default yep

Sounds logical. Can a Triumph dealer cut another key based on the VIN number, or is this a "remove tank, take to locksmith and beg them to make me a key" situation?

Thanks all,

Robb
