I paid $10,200.00 OTD 2 months ago. The dealer wanted $10,700.00, I just asked if they would take the 10,200. I don't think cash is going to help much on this bike, I also told them I was paying cash. I think they would rather do a financed deal to make something on the interest.
Whatever you pay, you will not be disappointed with the 675, it is a sweet motorcycle.
you might check out some of the experiences on triumph675.net . some folks have been able to negotiate some pretty interesting deals. however, i don't think CA is known for it's great deals on this bike.
good luck! enjoy it in good health, and remember to keep the shiny side up.
If you're getting them before they hit the showroom, you'll pay about 10,300 OTD.
If you wait a couple months, you'll be able to get it for 9,500 pretty easy.
I've talked to a couple guys who got them for under 9000 OTD. Pretty slick, and I have NO IDEA how they pulled it off.
I'd be pretty happy if I could get one for 9500. But you can't blame them for not wanting to bargain, because THEY WILL SELL THEM for 10,200 if they want to.

I paid 10,163.00 OTD 8999 retail price. Unfortuante for bargain hunters there is now haggeling on the price (they sold more than they made), but triumph set the price and dealers cannot sell it for more or less than that. I have seen some low mile used ones on Ebay for around 9K good luck
PS if you pay full price you will not be disappointed. it is the best MW on the Planet

Dealers can sell it for whatever they want.
Seriously, i know a couple guys that got it for BELOW MSRP. Don't know how the hell they pulled it off, but it's possible.
And dealers will haggle with you a little bit if they can keep you coming back for parts or gear or whatever. Triumph dealers LOVE me. If they gave me a deal on a 675, they know i'd buy every part i ever needed from them. And i buy a LOT of Triumph parts.
So far the free T-shirts keep me coming back, though.

They will sell the bike for whatever they can get. If they can nail you on the price, they will.
Negotiating won't hurt, just make sure you have the upper hand by sticking firm and not being ridiculous in your demands. Remember, the dealership has to stay open by making money.
Dealerships make more money on finance deals, so they prefer it.
As a side note, I would NOT go from a Ninja 250 to a 675.
picking it up this saturday, graphite 10200 OTD
and now youre scaring me. I'm already nervous as it is.
at least I bought a bunch of dainese stuff to help save my ass WHEN i fall
Ill try and ride within my limits as best as I can.
How long have you been riding? If it's under two years, get your money back and buy something more rider friendly. 675s are crashed at over a 50% rate and are not learner friendly. I own one , have been riding for 20 years and racing for a good portion of that and from experience can say that a CBR600 would be a far better bike to buy and cheaper.
If you buy it. you'll be making a mistake. As far as the too late stuff, I've also worked in bike sales since 88 and it's never too late until you pick it up.

Racing? where at? What organizations? I would like more information.

Casino Cash: $250
Sportbike: daytona 675, its way better than your sportbike
Fargin is kinda right. This is no beginner bike. That being said he has ridden a 250. That’s more experience than some of the people I read about. I got on the 675 and this thing is an instant confidence booster. I was acting a fool in just about every corner I could find because the bike just begs for it. I had it leaned over hard and on the throttle in a 90* right. I’m not sure If I hit a city titty or tweaked the throttle a little too much, but the rear end shot way out and then caught up, the bike straightened up and I damn near high sided. The bike also died for some reason and I re started it and it died again but after that she was fine. I have no idea how or why it happened, just gotta remember to show it respect to the throttle. Coming from a 250 you will see a huge power increase (duh) but also a very different ride. My last bike was a speed triple so I was expecting the 675 to feel slower but it would rape the 955i any day of the week and twice on Sunday.

I expect the power increase of course, but the 675 is still just a bike. I put about 200 miles on it so far and I dont know what youre talking about Fargin. The power is obvious as hell and it is expected, but it is still just a flick of a the wrist. I just remember the rules of lean angle and cornering points and I have been fine so far. I've yet to take it to the track. I am far from gifted, but I believe anyone with some experience and some respect for the bike can ride it just fine and without any problems. Even though I almost skidded into the middle of an intersection locking my front tire >_<.
