Default Difference between the 06 and 07?

Is there a difference between the 06 and the 07 on the spec sheet? The reason i ask is that there is a guy who is looking to get rid of his 06 graphite (i dont kno how many miles yet) because he'd rather have an 07 yellow. He just bought the graphite because thats all he could get his hands on. Which works to my advantage because thats the color i want, or should i just wait for a new one... (depending on miles and his asking price)

the murmur on the street at this point is that there are NO differences between 06 and 07 (other than whatever regular manufacturing tweaks happen on the shop floor in the due course of any model year production). no mechanical changes. no material part changes. no color changes.

that said, the annual triumph dealer meeting isn't for a few more weeks yet. there's a group of folks who believe that they may announce changes at that meeting that they are holding back. the thinking is that those would only be cosmetic (ie: new colors).

some folks are adamant that there are NO changes now or coming for 07. certainly 07s have been delivered. but dealers i've talked to basically are just saying that they're getting bikes and they've still been told nothing about anything pending the dealer meeting.

so to your particular issue, pick up the 06. i wouldn't pay in the 8s for a used bike though. many folks still keep trying to ask MSRP on bikes with thousands of miles. they aren't moving.

g/l.

There were no changes in the production like. The other color bikes that have been spotted are simply customers who paid a body shop to paint the fairings. Chances are they wont produce another color until next year, if even then.

a few people have paid to have them painted blue.

it's the color i would have wanted...

I've heard that Jet Black is almost a certainty, though. Triumph has NEVER to my knowledge kept the exact same color schemes two years in a row.

My guess is the 07's will come in yellow, graphite and black... and the red didn't sell well, so they will not make it next year.

But it will be back another year, more than likely. It's how they've always done things.

But there won't be any mechanical differences. Not that there needs to be...

I just want a 1075 to come out.

The '07s are already on the floors at a lot of dealerships. Erico Motorsports here in Denver, CO where I bought my scorched yellow 07 has taken delievery of a graphite and red 07 in the last week.
