Sport Rider did a nice write up about the bike but didn't mention the ergos. They said it has an aggressive posture and with a 32.5 inch seat height it was not for the vertically challenged.

I've actually had a chance to sit on one this weekend... its very small compared to other 600s. my girlfriend which is about 5'3 is thinking about getting one because it can fit her quite nicely. also, the guy i talked to said that if you flip one of the plates over on the suspension, it will lower the bike about 1.5 inches. southern california triumph/ducati does demos as long as ur 25. me being 23, couldnt do it. but... i got a chance to sit on and look at it. it seems to be a confidence booster bike. very small and agile.

Compared to your FZ6 (never ridin that) it will be a big difference. Found a nice amount of pressure on the wirsts but after using more leg/stomach to hold back and relax more it was bettter. I dont think its as bad as a duc but it is alil worse than a gixxer (had one, sold it to buy the 675).

Im 5'9" and found it a bit tall but could touch without major issues. This bike is taller than all the jap bikes for sure.

If you're shorter than 6 feet, or inflexible, getting your leg over the seat is the first challenge. After that, things get easier.

There's quite a bit of leg room and a bit of a stretch to the bars. Not too much wrist weighting.

The FZ6 is a couch, though. I came from a CBR600RR and the D675 is more comfortable than that. It will be radical, compared to the FZ6, though.

I have an FZ6 and sat on a 675 this week. I would say the ergos are comparable to early 2000's Japanese sport bikes (I owned a 2001 GSXR 750). I say that because I sat on the newer sport bikes at the Cycle World bike show this winter and those new sport bikes (R6 especially) have insanely aggressive ergos. I don't think the 675 ergos were AS aggressive as the new R6, but I still think it would be a big change from the FZ. Of course the ultimate test would be real world riding for me, at least 30 mins of freeway riding...

Sitting on the 675 reminded me of two things, 1) how much I miss having a pure sport bike and 2) why I bought the FZ6 in the first place: I commute more than I canyon carve!

Just for fun I sat up holding my arms/hands above the clip ons about 8 inches or so (to simulate higher bars) and I think it would be pretty comfortable. It would be really interesting to see if the convertibars would work for the 675.

I also like the idea of lowering the rear just a big as sososlow82 mentioned, that would also chill things out for your wrists and shoulders.

Also, the dealer here in the bay area is offering test rides. I didn't want to take them up on it because I'm not (yet?) going to buy the bike, but he did start it up for me and boy does that triple purr!

Far more aggressive than the FZ6, higher clipons than the 2006 R6... Think 600RR with a better, narrower seat.

+1 to this. If you're taller than 6'0 you're cool, otherwise I can imagine it would be a bit of a stretch. No pun intended.
