So since I've been single (about 6-7 months) I've made absolutely no attempt to find a new woman. I don't know if it's because I've been working so much or just that I'm not wanting someone.
But here's the thing. When I'm out, I can talk to ANY girl...as long as I'm not attracted to them....but as soon as you stick a girl in front of me that I think is attractive I can't pick up a conversation to save my life.
Any other guys/gals like this?

I know exactly what you mean. I could talk to some ugly girl and be charming as hell, but if it's some hot girl I've never met, I start staying stupid shit, or nothing at all.
It happens.. You'll know when you are ready to date again. Don't get yourself involved unless you want to hurt somebody. Trust me! I was in a 4 year relationshit, had my heart broken, then started dating within a couple months. Damn that was a waste of those poor girls hearts.
I think the problem your having is that you are being too goal orientated. What I mean by that is your prolly hoping for a date/sex or something along those lines. If you want to talkto a beautiful woman just be conversational. Dont hunt her like prey. Talk to her like shes a friend. Remember women are human too. They arent perfect and neither are you. If you come at it in a relaxed way and not with a goal in mind you might be surprised where it leads.

my problem is starting the conversation. if a girl walks up to ME and just says "hi", im golden, i can talk/charm all day. its just setting myself in motion i have problems with, but im gettin better.
but i know what you mean. its definitely a lot harder to talk to a girl when you are interested in her cuz you are concentrating on not being a dumbass, when really all it takes is to lighten up and talk to them as you would any other friend.

Never out-ride your ability to react (even stop) within the distance you can see (at least on the street).
I know that since I've been having "issues" with a girl at work and my wife at home, I've found it MUCH easier to talk to girls that most would consider "hot."
In the past I would've just not even said ANYTHING to some of these girls, but since I've found out that the girl at work that I've had a crush on for the last four years feels the same way about me, I've just had a bit more confidence.
Just remember, girls that you find attractive are just girls. They like the same kind of dumb shit that girls that you aren't attracted to. Just go up and talk to them. I think you'll find that even if you make a bit of an ass of yourself (in a humorous way), you'll still make a good impression.
