Making the phone call.

I have a feeling some of us on here have no problem going out and getting ladies numbers, but when do you call once you have it. We'll assume it's in the bar scenerio that you recieve the number.
Now, will you call a few days later just to say Hi and B.S and see how the convo goes. Or do you call with a purpose? You start by shooting the shit , but you know in your head you are calling to set up a 'date'(lunch, dinner, movie, bar) with said person to see them agian.
I guess if the person wants to talk to you it shouldn't really matter what you have to say, they should be happy to hear from you. But do you just over analyze what to do? I say this b/c there are girls in my phone if you called me late night to say hi i'll entertain you but rather watch tv.....

i wait a couple days and call to ask them out i dont like talking on the phone, i have enough trouble paying attention when its face to face

Ok i am by no means an expert but im damn good at gettin girls so.... Dont do the whole 3 days then call either call in 2 or wait like a week. when u call if she is interested she will b waiting for u to call so she should know who u are dont explain it to her all u need to say is "hi its (your name) from the bar" if she doesnt know say goodbye and hang up she is not interested. Only call to set up a time to meet no bs on the phone because then wut the hell are u goin to talk bout wen u meet up. A quik how r ya then get to the point i suggest lunch or coffe for first date it just works best. Pick the time place if she says cant do it then ask her wut days she is free and u still pick time and place because if she likes u she will make yur schedule hers and meet up regardless.

Something to keep in mind. Just because a girl gives you her # does not mean it's guaranteed a date. Girls, who have boyfriends, give out their #'s all the time. That situation is tricky. But if she's single, she could have changed her mind. ANYTHING could have happened as soon as she gave you her #. hell, she could have given it to you and not really wanted to but couldn't say no. People, in general do not like confrontation. Girls do not like rejecting guys. (generally speaking). They also like the attention of getting calls from "oh the guy at the club that one time, but i'm not going to call him back"... just for attention and possibly to make her boyfriend jealous.

Now moving along, I call on sunday. That's if it's in the latter part of the week. If it's friday, i'll call sunday. if it's saturday i'll call on sunday. thursday, i'll call on sunday. Monday, tuesday, wednesday and actually, even thursday ..you're on your own and gotta make a judgement call. the reason why I call on sunday is because most people are not busy in general on sunday and take the sunday to rest. You don't usually go out and party on sunday and you're clear for plans for the week. You want to talk to her when she HAS time to talk and doesn't cut short. You want to plan something for the week when it's the beginning of the week. But that's my personal choice. People do it different and it works differntly for everyone else.

Don't friggin over think it there's is no set waiting period before you can call a girl just call for god's sakes and quite being a wuss lololol If you had a great time together it really won't matter , just go with the flow . Men who tried to hard automatically push me away , go easy and don't push or use gay ass lines . I had a guy at work the other day asked me if I knew CPR , I said uh no.....he said well you just took my breath away ...... makes me wanna vomit on you lololol AVOID LINES AT ALL COST Just my two cents ...change please

Who the hell uses lines anymore? if you don't have an intelligent response to my intelligent questions then why the fuck would i talk to you?

Look, you get the number, wait a couple days (2-3) give the glistening generalities and move into business. It shouldn't be more then a 10 minute conversation at max. You have to save the conversation for dinner.

BTW... MOVIES are not good first dates... what the hell are you going to say while you're focused on the picture?

Also when making plans, have something in mind don't use the "whatcha wanna do?" shows a lack of confidence and they don't wanna make the decision....

yea i guess my main thing is i really odn't care about setting up a quick eat with girls, but i think i might do that. Something quick like a sandwich shop. I just dont feellike inviting a girl out and droppin 70-100 at a resteraunt and not sure i even like them. Yes i can make them go dutch, but if u invite someone its on you.

and money is not the object i just value my time. Guess i need to make the call and just set up food, i mean it'll save me from cooking and theres nothing wrong with being 'nice' and treating a friend to food.

So in general it comes down to if i am going to use a number i better have something set up. Might have to do the cheap route of my friends having a party let me know your plans. Or state the bar i'll be at.

Let the games begin preface: Roommate of a girl i hooked up with last summer. This girl is smokin and i've actually laid foundation as firends(how all relationships should start) Anyhow i decided to send a message on facebook:

Hey are you free/want to go out and eat tomorrow night around 6ish?

response:I dont know if i'm going to have time... it depends on how much i get done tomorrow.. you can call me tomorrow to check if you want.. my number is *******

now yes it seems like i have the easy decision to make the call, but the only real reason i brought up food is to lay a foundation i might be interested in her. For food i was thinking Panera Bread (step up from quiznos i quess) i could do 'real' dinner but that's too cliche' i feel to go above and beyond with a legit friend.

On east coast i might get 'saved' from really needing to do this b/c of snow storm....... be back to discuss more.

And for the ladies no matter who the guy is i think we all think about scenerios. i am not inexperienced with ladies, it just sucks when you might care, we all know you should act the same as when you'd rather have the broad leave you alone
