Birthday Gifts???
Early in a relationship (we are just over 2 months) what do you get your SO for their birthday? Nothing sexual.
Serious posts guys, no more bitching about my last "relationship" (if you can even call it that anymore now that I found out he was also cheating), I'm trying to put that in the past you should too.
- a new watch. I love watches. Anything around the $150 mark is just fine for a 2 month relationship... but it's his birthday, not ya'lls anniversary.
- a dvd movie (or box set?) that you both enjoy
- If he rides, a gift cert to his favorite accessory shop. Or new Dainese gloves. Mmmm new Dainese gloves.
- If you're alone when you give it to him, a nice set of lingerie for yourself. Of course, razz him and tell him how cute his ass will look in the panties... but then you know what to do with it.
- Blowjob. Every guy loves a great (read: swallow) blowjob for his birthday, even if he gets nothing else.
Edit: Oops, non-sexual. Lame.
Bake him a pie.
Preferably poontang pie.
Edit #2: 3 months after we dated, I threw a surprise party and got for my gf (now wife)'s birthday:
1. 23 dozen roses (was 23th birthday)
2. Tons of food and multiple cakes
3. Coach bag
4. 1ct earrings
She's a bit spoiled, yes. And yes, I am mildly retarded for setting the bar that high. I am paying for it now
And yeah, man- you set the bar WAY too high.... you buy flowers ONE time, and they get upset when they don't get them every damned week....
Not to say that i don't buy flowers, i just try and keep it for extra special occassions.
A gift, you say? Hmmm... I would say something that he needs, and will get regular use out of. Like, i would personally love a nice cordless drill or something. Or if he rides, a chain break and riveting tool or something. Or a set of racing stands. Or, i would love a nice pneumatic tool set. Or a new HVLP spray gun.
I dunno- whatever his biggest hobby is, something that would be REALLY useful for that. Maybe something he's complained about not having around.
Guys don't like mushy romantic presents. Seriously. Practical gifts are the best.

I am WAAAAYYYYYY to sarcastic to even try to help. Sorry bout that. Awww hell, yer a good kid, I'll try. Just go out with him to a bar, and pick up the bill. Have a good time, and thats it.
Oh, and if yer picking up the bill, you might as well pay for the strippers.
Crap. I tried to help, and look where it got you.

If you've been observant you should have a pretty good idea. What are his hobbies? What does he do?
Although declaring his b-bay "Steak and BJ day" is a no fail.

I would also like clarification. Im guessing its 23 though not 23 dozen. If you gave her 23 dozen I sure hope you got to "lawson" her that night! Sheesh!

Those were all really good ideas! He's a big sports fan (especially baseball and basketball) so I think I'm taking him to a baseball game close to his birthday. Nothing says Happy Birthday then a bunch of guys running around a field, hot dogs and beer I guess. Thanks guys, the help was appreciated.

Hell I'd marry you too!!! And here I'm excited he bought me (and is going to try to surprise me when he gets home but our friend has a big mouth) a Marine t-shirt LMAO!
A baseball game is nice - but the Brewers? C'mon - put him on the back of your bike (or, if he rides, go down on yours and he on his) and take him for a day in Chi-town on you! Cubbies, Michael Jordan's Steak House, and then the ride back....on second thought, that 90 mile trip back would suck!
Okay, baseball with the Brewers is cool. But, if you can get Packers tickets now, that would rock (even though Brett will be down here in Dallas by then "wink, wink")! Also, there is a steak house in Milwaukee - I went there in 2000 when I was consulting - something about a "Red Awning" - in a real bad area - but the steaks are out of this world, and it's a very cool atmosphere! I don't remember the name of it - maybe, being from that area, you know it. Take him there after the game!
Nothing says happy birthday to a man like a steak (if you're keeping the sex out of it - which, to respect you, I am).
Good luck! May his birthday be the best one he's ever had!
