Find a really unnatractive (maybe even obesely overweight) girl and try to talk to her. I have found that the less I am interested in the girl, the easier it is for me to talk to her. Note: this is just to practice and build up your confidence. After you do this a few (several) times the next time you see a girl you are interested in talk to her right away just like you did with the ones you weren't. Don't think about it and psych yourself out. Just do it

Dumb question, but are you trying to pick up women stag? If you're "shy" as you say, you don't have a prayer in hell going in alone. 1) If you lack confidence, you need a wingman with some balls (but not too many...he'll overshadow you) to help with the approach. 2) Learn to dance...and if you can't, learn to not give a rat's ass. Women like to dance. Why the hell else does a dance floor usually consist of groups of women dancing and men occasionally trying to break in? Moves WILL help the approach; they'll get you in the door, but you need more to close the deal. 3) Don't try for the hot one unless you're confident enough to truly make a move. I'm not God's gift to women, so when I hit a club I have an idea of what I CAN and CAN NOT pull. I'm not saying to not be confident, and I'm also not saying that you should downplay yourself...but be realistic. As your confidence grows, then start up'ing your game.

The best way is to round up some girl "friends;" ones you're not try to lay the bone in, and take them to the bar with you. It will give you TONS of cred with the ladies at the bar showing up with some hot women.

I read something, don't remember where, but it made a lot of sense to me. I think the approach is the most difficult thing, once a convo is going its not hard to hold it. On the approach, you can have 2 attitudes. One attidute is, I can't, I'll get rejected, she is prob not interested, I don't know what to say, or just being plain nervous. Other attitude to have is I can get a rush for this. We do things, like ride motorcycles, top them out, haul ass around turns, drag race cars, rock climb, skydive, bomb hills on snowboards, for what? A rush! You can get that same feeling for free! Just approach a chick! As for rejection, I can get rejected by ugly chicks that I think themselves would've have a chance with me. Who gives a fuck! You'll never know if you don't try. Good things don't wind up on your doorstep. It all comes down to your attitude and confidence - which in turn comes from practice. Just talk to people doesn't matter who, how old, start conversations and joke around with them, before you know it, it will be natural and come easily.

Just be honest and up front! Worked for me and my little work/fling/fuck buddy/agreement I have going on. Hell we got busted by the cops b/c my car windows were steamy and our clothes were off. I just don't give a fuck anymore!

well iw as talking to this one waitress chick, had good conversation, thought she was in to me i asked for the digits and she said she just got a new cell phone and didnt know the #, told her she could call me, said she dont call guys. went back in there to eat the next week and seen her, she smiled and came over flirting with me, asked if i was going to pester her, i told her no and ignored her the rest of the time i was in there, she ended up flirting with me the rest of the night, winking at me, and gave me a hug as i left. what is up with that???? i will never understand women
