No wonder you got ripped off; Your spine is jelly. Con artists can smell you from afar. If you take one lesson from this, it ought to be to develop alternative defense mechanisms to deal with this deficit.
You gain nothing by sort of revealing the issue. It just makes you look weak to the person who robbed you.
I know this may sound harsh or cruel, but I'm saying it to try to help you out. If I'm reading you right, you're one of those people who gets ripped off fairly routinely and never knows why. It's because you make it easy.
