Default CCS race coming to my town

There's a new road race track being built just outside of my town. From the way it sounds, the track should be done this summer and is planning on having some CCS races there in the middle of September. The CCS website is showing the races on the 16-17.

This track is just about 12 miles or so from my house. It should be nice having a track like this in my backyard. Now I just have to wait a few more years til they get their 1/4 mile drag strip done.

I'm not too familiar with that series. You just planning on trying to make it to a few of the more local events, or are you going to be traveling to quite a few?

Depending on my work schedule I will try and do the traveling part also. This will be my first season like this so I plan to take it easy and work on my technique more than running balls out.

Yeah I know what you mean. I was offered a chance to drag race somebody elses brand new Busa for this comming summer. We're going to try to race as much as we can this coming year, but it's mostly just to gain experience and find out which direction we want to go with the bike and team. Should be a lot of fun though.

There are actually 2 events scheduled to be held at that track with CCS, the 1st one is July 22/23-2006. If you haven't checked out their website yet here is a link:Motorsports Park Hastings (MPH).

For 2006 CCS has joined forces with Track Addixx which is a track day organization to run the Great Plaines region of CCS races. Because of this there will also be track days put on by Track Addixx that should be surrounding those racing events, either before or after the event. This will give people in your area the chance to get out on this course themselves. Looking at the track map on their website the layout looks to be fun at 2.23 miles long, now hopefully with Track Addixx involved with the people building this track they will make it a 'safe for motorcycles' track!

As of a message on the CCS message board, there is a rumor that the 1st Hastings event may not happen after all, by what was said the track won't be finished by then. Hopefully the track will open soon enough for there to be at least 1 CCS event there in the '06 season!

I'll be running #303 in the CCS GP series, and I'll be at Hastings assuming they run the race.

Yup, more people in here doing Track Days than actual racing.
