I don't own one but,last I heard they're not being made anymore.
If it was me,I would check the dealers to see if they have any 03's left on the floor. You should be able to pic up one really cheap.

thanx, cajun, but i know they're not made anymore...i'm just wanting owners to share their pros and cons on the bike.....because thats the one i would like to have.. i have been trying to rip one off new from various stealerships..but i want either the 03 titanium /blk or the 02 blk/silver, someone told me they all had second gear problems, and somewhat bad transmissions...

nooo, there are no know transmission problems with these bikes. The 02 models had a recall on the head bearings but that should have or will be fixed by a dealer for free. Mine shifts smoothly, has a crap load of power, and is comfortable for long trips. The only must have is a steering damper if you are going to be riding hard. If you are staying under a 100 and not doing alot of canyon carving you dont need one.

One of the mags just did the "rate the Damper" thing,I'll have to dig around to find it.
Scotts is a rotory style while Olins has an arm.For myself, rotory is the way to go.

I would not trade my 954 for the new 1000RR. It's even more uncomfortable to me and I'm just not impressed enough with the power. However, the new ZX10s are all around bad boys.

I do like the new 1000rr's, but I would still keep my 954...
I 2nd the dampner mod...If you plan on taking it to the track or even ride hard at yer favorite spot you should get one...$400 for a Scott's is better than a 120 mph tank slapper/highside!
Then after you recover from the damper buy, get a Hindle and a PCIII...If you have any more questions, head over to www.fireblades.org

wouldnt trade my 54 for a 1krr either. i think it looks better, the power difference isnt enough to make me trade. the only thing the 54 needs is a damper(dont ask me how i know, ie. tankslapper ). overall i love the bike, no complaints whatsoever.

Congrats on the new bike. I've owned my 954 for about 2.5 years. I have 12K miles and have had ZERO problems. I don't have a damper and don't plan on buying one. Sure the bike shakes a little once in a while, but I chalk that up to the bikes "Character" that so many people claim this bike is lacking. I have no plans on trading this bike in or selling it any time soon. It's a great bike (to me).

The 954's are excellent bikes all around. They have great power delivery, very moddable, pretty comfortable and excellent handling. I wouldn't trade my bike for anything other than the o5 Raven R1's (such a bad ass bike!). I don't know if it's just my bike or a Honda thing, but my gear box is kind of loud during shifts. It doesn't pop out of gear or grind or anything but it is clunky on the up shifts. Otherwise the 954 is a great bike.
Hey GonZilla, have you found a good .map for your pcIII and your full Hindle??? I've been lookin around and trying to construct a good .map for my bike but so far i havn't had the best of luck. If you could help me out here that would be awesome. Thanx a lot, later.

The only good prices i've seen for the pc3 usb's and pc3r's have been on eBay. Once in a while a used one will pop up for a real good deal. Also, DOES ANYONE HAVE A GOOD MAP FOR A 954 W/ HINDLE EXHUAST ?? Thanx a lot, later.
