Default Recommended octane level

Which octane should I use. I've heard so much BS I don't know who to believe anymore. Need some owner/experience feedback.

Whatever the owner's manual recommends.

I don't have the owners manual. I bought the bike used with 1200 miles on it.

The lowest octane fuel the bike will take without pinging. Get yourself a copy of the OM, or even better, the SM.

93 man, just about all sportbikes use 93. If you don't it could damage the motor over a period of time. Atleast that is what the manuel says.

It's been a while since I read it, but I seem to think that the manual says 87.

With such a high compression ratio I would only use 93, and do only use 93.
