Default Chain and sprocket question.

I have 23 thousand miles and feel a new chain is coming up. I was told a good idea would be go with a 520 chain, and front sprocket with one less tooth. I know I will loose some top end, but I have hit top end maybe 3 times in 3 years. What do you guys think?

-1 in front, u wont even notice the top end loss. U will feel it on the low end though. If you are not racing stick with the 530. 530 should last longer. A 520 is less weight but again u wont notice it. my .02

FACT Smaller sprockets will increase chain wear.

-1 tooth in front is great if you need it, or even wont it.

You will be able to fell the difference (more power)

As far as the 520 chain goes. I would only recommend for the racer or somebody that has a factory 525 chain.
You will have to change front and rear sprockets for the 520.
So keep that in mind when pricing parts.
The 530 is much stronger and you should get a new chain well before any 23 thousand miles.
Your chain probably has been replaced at least once.
If you have willies in mind, You defiantly need to keep the 530.
A 929 will stretch a 520 apart.
