Default easy question....miles per tank full?

well, I haven't had any time to ride my 96 900rr since I bought it, and I'm to lazy to just wait it out intil the reserve is needed.

So, how many mile to an average tank full?

and how big is the tank?

I didn't get any info when I bought the bike and also no owners manual or tools, So, I have been checking ebay, and am going to call the dealer on monday (if I remember)

any help until then?

My 98 with regular riding gets about 120-130 miles per tank before you need to switch to reserve...Then I can get in the 140-150 range...

Best thing to do, fill er up from empty, note the exact gallons, set tr trip to "0" go for a long ride where you can keep it in the 65 mph range (around 4K rpms) this will give you your 900's optimum fuel efficiecy, most vary... but this will give you a higher number...tank is 4.8 galons, inc .9 gall reserve, so if you can squeeze 40 mpg then your bike would be capable of 190+ miles, but then when you ride the cbr like its supposed to be ridden, you'll be in the 120-150 mile range like L8 said.

thanks, for the replys guys.

So, far its been just a back and forth to work bike, and after my first fill-up, its right under 40mpg. I keep the revs really low, until I get fully used to the power of the bike, and appropriate gear, if anything should happen.
