Default 96 900rr steering stabilizer/damper and frame sliders?

So, a newbie here, and I'm looking for some info on a steering stabilizer/damper and some frame sliders for my 96 900rr.

The only stabilizer I found (thrua google search) was the scotts one at hyperformanceparts ($404 ouch)

and a list of a couple different sliders. (mainly off UK pages)

any recomendations?

Thanks, David

I'd like to know as well on the stabalizers. I think any frame sliders will work. We will just have to cut our farings to get them to fit.

yeah, I found some interesting stabilizers.

Ohlin made one (haven't found one for sale, yet) It mounts on the left and goes down along the frame.

The scots one looks the nicest, and so far the only one I found still for sale.

I also found alot of guys modifying ones to fit the 900rr, but that seems shaddy.

As far as sliders, Ebay has some cheap ones. So what does most people use, metal, carbon, or just plastic?

any other suggestions?

I'd stay away from the metal and carbon look ones. I have heard too many stories of people lowsiding or highsiding and the metal or carbon look sliders dig into the ground and cause the bike to filp. I wound't use anything other then the regular plastic sliders.
