Default 900rr warming up died can't start

I belive that it may be fuel related but I started the biek it was warming up and killed then wouldn't restart.
now it won't start and turns over as though it is going to fire but wont.
sounds as though it is not on all cylinders any ideas?

yeah, check the petcock.

I know I have had it "off" and forgot about it, just to have it die on me while warming up.

Then frantically trying to figure out why it died, looking everywhere, adjusting the idle, still nothing. I figured I flooded it. I just got off to look under the tank, and wait awhile, then I realized what I had done.

Just to start the bike up and have it idle at 5grand.

No I've had the tank on and off twice and tried to get this thing a rollin'
seems all good to go but have not a clue as to what is the problem.

started it
it was warming up
it died
then acted like it was flooded/wouldn't start gave a POW
let it sit
went to start again
Nothing

pulled apart all seems well
back together and just turns over
now nothing
seems to be firing every cycle
but can not fugure it out
any ideas?

I just went through this on my F3. Check and clean or replace your plugs.

Ok spark is fine on all cyls.
New plugs in each hole!
spray some carb cleaner into the throats.
Open the throttle to drop it in, '
Just turns over
No pop, nothing!

it has spark, fuel, and compression.

wtf!

Your on/off start switch is probably bad. Flip it on and off pretty hard a few times and then try it again (not the ignition switch, but the on/off switch on your right clip-on). Also, check all of your fuses. Next, make sure that the vacuum line and the fuel line to the petcock are good and that you have plenty of fuel.

If none of that gets it started, get full coverage on it and drop it off a bridge. j/k

If you've got spark it's not coils, switches or any electrical voodoo.

You've got compression and it turns over so it's not valves, pistons, crank or other major mech.

You've got fuel to the carb so that eliminates petcock, tank, fuel pump etc.

I'd bet my coworkers next paycheck that it's the carbs. Have you tried spraying a shot of starter fluid into each carb and then turning it over? Might work better than using carb cleaner to check.

Had one that died when I turned the choke off. It would only run if the choke was on or if I used starter fluid. Pilot jets were plugged even though I thought I had them clean.

Well here is the verdict on the machine!

I finally got around to it this past Saturday
Pulled the pig apart and went through everything
I got the acrbs off and the Pilots were solid!!!
They couldn't get anymore plugged, pulled the carbs apart
cleaned them up and she is ready to go!

All set
