Default Holy Crap. Dealer wants $120 for a new battery

And the local shop wants $130.
Last year, instead of a buying a battery tender i decided to get a cheap charger. Lesson learned.

Any of you guys ever had to buy a new battery? Where's the best place to get one? And how much did you pay?

The guy at the shop says that 03-04 batteries are "custom made" for the bike. Why they would do that i have no idea. Is this true at all?

Thanks

Batteries plus is trash, at least online it was. They wanted 50 bucks for a battery that has 125 CCA and 9.5 AH. I went to ebatteriestogo and for 60 bucks I got a 225 CCA and 11 AH shipped.

I'm also in the market for a new battery for my 04 600RR and the dealer's prices are ridiculous. Definitely will be checking out ebatteriestogo.

Thanks!
