Default '06 600RR vs. previous years

I'm looking at picking up a crashed '06 RR and I'm wondering how compatible replacement parts will be from other year bikes like the '03 and '04. I know the fairings are different but what about the actual frame, subframe, forks, wheels, gas tank. I'm pretty much starting from scratch here so all help will be appreciated. Thank you very much for your help!

Thank you for the info natas! Are 05-06 RR's the same then? Or are different parts used between those bikes too?

I'd stick with only 05-06 parts because you know they will fit perfectly. Be careful buying a crashed bike though, the damage could be worse than you think.

Actually, the front, mids, and lowers are supposedly interchangeable from 03/04 to 05/06. The subframe needs to be changed if you want to change the tail.

Not 100% sure but I think, like I said, 03/04 are the same and 05/06 are the same. But 03 won't fit on 06. If you have a specific question, ask it over at 600rr.net. Those dudes know everything.
