i've got a 30" inseam and at first i had trouble with it too. (first bike) i ended up lowing it an inch with a vortex link. (like... 100 bucks) i could flat-foot it with no problems but it kinda felt like the back turned-in slower now..... if that makes any sense....

"they" say that when you lower the bike you lose suspension travel. not a problem if you are under like 150lbs. i'm like 165 pushing 170 so i raised the rear preload a click to compesate for it. much better now, though still not "rr"

i am thinking about pulling the link off now that i am a little more comfortable on the bike.

I would say you're fine. I'm 5'10" with a 32" inseam. As long as you've got your toes down, you're fine. The RR was my last bike.

Tiptoe'ing a bike sucks. You can flatfoot most bikes if you only keep one leg down. It feels weird at first, but you get used to it quick

My wife is 5'2" and rides our 1000RR just fine, and I think the seat height between the two are just about the same...She's tippy toed, but has never had one bad incident...Hills, lights, etc...No problems..

If you're that uncomfortable, just get a lowering link...

Yeah, the only problem with tiptoeing a bike is when you need to back it up, it sucks to not be able to get traction. Still, if you can touch the whole ball of your foot, not just barely scrape the ground with your toes, you'll be fine.

I can't flatfoot anything but my buddy's drag busa. I dont think it feels right to flatfoot a bike, since i've never been able to. I'm 5'8", unknown inseam, but 31" pant length
