Question Any difference in tires?

My friend brought his bike over to park it in my garage. Both our 600 RRs still have the stock tires. I noticed his are Dunlop D208s and mine are Michelin Pilot Sports. I just thought it was weird that they would use different tires on the same bike. From pics in the forums it looks like more people have the Dunlops over the Michelins, any difference?

I doubt the typical street rider would notice much difference.

Honda buys from the two companies because of supply reasons, to spread the weather, ect.
