Default Confused as all hell

I charged my battery today. I put it back in and was securing the last screw/bolt on the positive terminal and the screw fell down into the area slightly infront of the gas tank. I can see the fucker but I can’t get it out. I tried taking off the tail fairing, but that didn’t help. What do I need to remove, the gas tank? I started to, but then I wasn’t even sure if that would improve the situation. Please advise. Thanks

find a piece of wire that will reach the screw/bolt and put some gum on the end of the wire and then you should be able to pick up the screw.

A telescopic magnet from pepboys/autozone type stores is worth it's weight in gold in these situations.

Thank you everyone. I went to Sears and picked up a telescopic magnet along with a host of other goodies . I can't go in there without buying something I hadn't planned on purchasing. There's just too much neat stuff.

I just bought my 03 600RR this past week and had to replace the battery. Same thing happened to me, except I dropped a bolt and the little square part that the bolt threads into. I have a telescopic magnet but it didn't work on either. I finally had to use my shop vac with the detailing attachments on it to reach down in there. I need the get the grabber tool for non-ferrous parts.
