Yes. Check with the Honda dealership to see what the most updated CCT is for your bike if you want to go with an OEM replacement.

i just bought an 02 cbr 600 f4i with 6000 miles on it and it was rattling already, the tensioner is like 60 bucks and easy to install with the right tools, 1/4 drive allen head sockets especially and a swivel adapter, it taked a few hours since you take off the tank and losen up soem fairings but still simple, i figuered it out by myself, and no manual.JUST FIX IT......i use to have a 98 zx6r ninja, my first sport bike and i heard the rattle but did know what it was, i kept running it and it ended up stretching the chain, i couldnt fix that so it cost around 500$ for to have it fixed, the tensioner, chain, gaskets and whatever else. so i reccomend havin them fixed as soon as possible.

Okay, so we all know we have a CCT on our CBRs.

But is it a MANUAL CCT? Or an AUTOMATIC CCT?

What is a APE MANUAL CCT? And what is the benefits of having an APE?

Why should I go with an OEM if the OEM is making the noise?

Thanks,
Jon

My new 2001 is making this exact same noise. It's annoying

Just in case anyone's worried about damage down the road, I've got almost 21000 miles on mine and she's been rattling for the last 17000 of em'...

Now recovered. $3000 and 400 miles of bad wheelie attempts, she's as good as new.
