Is the F3 prone to tankslappers?
I haven't had any probs yet, but should I invest in a damper soon? I know some bikes are more prone to this than others. It doesn't feel like the F3 would be, though.

Thanks, just wanted to be sure I wasn't missing some vital info. Heck I had a 'slapper on my EX500 once (partly due to bad wheel bearings that went out like a week or so later), so it can happen to any bike, but the F3 feels plenty stable.
I'm gonna play with the suspension settings as soon as I get a weekend to myself... Probably in another week or so.

I don't think a damper is ever a waste of money, a tankslapper can always happen, but some bikes need it more than others. Yours isn't very radical for a 600cc, but if you're going to piss the money away on an exhaust or something, you might as well get the damper.

I'll have to find the web site for the steering damper, but I finally found one that was a bolt on. It took me about two years to find it. Haven't been able to afford it yet but I'll get it soon

Are you getting headshake regularly? If so, then a damper isn't the answer, you've got other problems, most probably suspension.
Check the manufacturers' websites. I'm almost positive Ohlins and Hyperpro make one, they make them for nearly anything. Then any dealer can order it for you.
