Talking Pirelli Diablos...anybody got them?

I put on a set of Pirelli Diablos last year to replace the stock Dunlop D207s because they seemed to be nice tires from what I read. The D207s sucked on the street as far as grip until they got alot of heat in them. I had tire psi @ 32 and I could still spin the rear pretty easily on some streets. They felt pretty good on the track when they got up to tempreature and the mileage was pretty good (7k then got a rear flat). The Pirellis turn in alot quicker and the feel is about the same as on the Dunlop. The Diablos appear to have a more triangulated shape than the D207s which probably attributes to the quicker steering. I've put about 2k street miles and 700 track miles on the Pirellis and there still seems to be plenty of tread left.I really like these tires so far. Would like to know if anyone else has Diablos and what you think of them. Ciao!!

I've got the Diabolos on my F4i right now, 7000 miles and still going strong. I do like them, especially on the tight twisties although I found the M1s to be a little more stable on those high-speed sweepers (above 100mph) sometimes it's hard to hold a good fast line with the Diabolos. I do like the M1s better for that reason, Diabolo is my #2 tire, they would be great for the track.

Diablos on my F4i. Haven't really ridden it hard on the street yet, but so far they've been pretty good on the track. Even did a track day in the rain with them and they seemed to grab well enough.

Yes these are the standard Diablos. Generally use 30psi at the track depending on air temperature. These tires worked great on a slightly damp racetrack. They had great feel and traction (everbody else in my group seem to be tiptoeing around the track)

I also have the diablos, put about 4k on them last year. The thing I noticed right off the bat is that they turned in quicker, wasn't sure if it was the tires or the D207s I had had like 8k on them. Now that other people feel the same way it must be the former. I did get one track day on them and it rained a little and alot of people were crashing all over the place so didn't get alot of miles on the track but I was happy with them. I will buy another set.

I have the diablo as well. it took some getting used to though. Going slow I almost dumped it over because of the triangular shape. They gave me a ton of confidence accelerating leaned over. Stuck like glue. I wore my rear tire out though in only 3k miles. I'll buy them again

I almost did the same thing after I put them on and I also cranked the spring preload down on the front (3 lines showing) which really made it "fall in".Good to hear you guys like'em! I'm sure I will buy another set without a doubt.

I am planing on buying the diablos but right now i can only pop for a rear tire. What i was wanting to know is if this will cause any problems with handleing since from what i have read the diablos seem the handle better than the dunlops that came on it.

I don't think there will be a difference in handling by just added a rear DIablo. If you just changed the front you would definitely feel a difference witht he way the bike turns. The bike will probably flick from side to side alittle quicker but that's about it i think.
