Default How did I ever ride w/o a damper and an upgrades sprocket...

omg! its awesome. wheelies are so much easier and the bike feels so much better in turns with that damper. it feels like a much sturdier bike

its a 15 tooth sprocket specialist front sprocket.

Install: take the rear caliper off, take out the rear axle, take off the cover for the sprocket, take off the retaining nut, exchange sprockets and reverse directions

Scotts damper
Install: remove triple tree main nut (30mm socket). install new scotts nut and torque to 85ft/lbs, put on the mounting ring that goes around the main nut, put on the tower that mounts to the top of the tank, put on the damper itself and tighten the two retaining screws.

the stock front sprocket is 16. it raised the gear ratio so it gives you more bottom end.

the damper sits directly on top of the triple tree main nut

How much top end did you lose going down 1 in the front? I like being able to do an (indicated) 165...

Now recovered. $3000 and 400 miles of bad wheelie attempts, she's as good as new.

im going to put +2 in the back just b/c i like the extra bottom end. it'll probably be a month or so before i do that. i need to pay off the $670 in credit card debt i racked up putting the tires, damper and sprocket on it

FYI, your speedo is going to be way off, like +16%

You may want to think about getting a Speeo Healer. http://www.calsportbike.com/cgi-bin/...ex.cgi?pid=800 I've got one and it works good.
