just dropped my bike...please read.
Hey guys I just dropped my f3 at zero miles per hour…
I don’t know why this is making me pretty upset. I just don’t understand how I did it. I think I am contemplating selling it. Its really just made my whole day worst. The damage is not even bad. I don’t know why I am feeling this way. Any tips on how not to drop your bike turning? Lol…
I was making a right turn slowly and this car was approaching me, so I let off the throttle and my bike began to decrease acceleration quickly, and all the sudden I am falling to the side and I cannot hold it upright. This happened at around 3 MPH and I dropped it at zero.
Well, any advice or comments will be greatly appreciated. I am a new rider. Thanks a lot. And sorry, I would take the MSAF but I simply cannot afford it right now. Thank you.
Hieu

Everyone does it, you are learning, this is why people say start with a cheap bike, damage will happen.

when going that slow.. until your confident your not gonna drop it.. put your feet down (but not touching the ground) so they are ready if it starts to tilt .. that way you catch it before it's at the .. OH SH** part!!
Oh and don't worry about it.. i dropped my first bike about 3 times.. 2 of which i wasn't even on it at the time.. SH** happens.. just gotta fix it and go on.. I think i learned my lesson or you could call it experience.. I've not had any uh ohs w/ my F4i yet (knock on wood) ..

typically it is said at lower speeds and sharp turns.. to only lean the bike and not your body, yes... I'm only 132lbs 5' 11" I rode my dad's Goldwing 800+ lbs.. You should try turning that booger in a parking lot at under 5mph .. that's scary.. just gotta swing wide w/ that so you can go faster while turning.. if at all possible just swing wider but i understand that is now always possible.. also consider if you start to lean too much you can give it a little gas and it will typically straighten up..

I dropped my bike in the garage a few months back...snapped the right mirror off on the side of my car. I would not even ride the bike until I replaced the damned mirror. I don't even use the things, but it still pissed me off every time I looked over there. You'll get over it.

If it is still worrying you, then you arn't meant to have only two wheels. You have to relalize that it happens. I have been riding a year, never dropped my bike, but I know it is going to happen sooner or later. It is not a question of it is going to happen, it is when is it going to happen. When going under 5mph, drop your legs so you feet are about 2 inches above the ground. Going that slow, you don't have much holding the bike up. Ride with it when it is still a little messed up and practice the turn that you fell on. After you master it, fix her back up

Yes, that is good advice, thank you. i am planning on doing that. Fixing her up after i practice. Or i might sell it for another bike in spring AFTER i've had some good practice in.
:-)
