Went on a charity ride with my Harley and I met a local Sheriff who was talking to another rider about not chasing a Hayabusa. I asked if he would chase a Super Blackbird. He said a what? I said, a CBR1100 XX Super Blackbird. He said he had never heard of that bike before and wanted to know if they were sold in the US or imported by somebody. I told him Honda sold them in the US until 2003 and on a good day they would clear 180mph. He asked what they looked like so I showed him a picture of mine that is on my phone. He again said he had never seen one. I said that may be because the smart rider will avoid town with them. He laughed as I showed him the XX on the body..

Try telling people you ride a ZZR1200.

I'm hoping to be able to get a ZZR1200 for me and the wife .. Already have a 600, so just need another one to make the difference

I saw a Fireblade last night (or was it Fireblayde??) is that along the lines of a Super Blackbird (sorry don't know my bikes all that well)?

Kawasaki couldn't figure out what to do so they built a cheap copy of the XX when they came up with the ZZ-R 1200. The Fireblade is the forerunner to the CBR1000RR like the YZF1000 Thunderace is to the R1. The Super Blackbird is the smoothest of all sport touting machines in my mind and to think a 12 year old design can still hold its own with the rest. This is the Lady in Black.
