Default Do you smell?

I have a 1000rr I replaced the stock exhaust with a Jardine duel outlet & it seems that every time I go for a ride my jacket/pants smells like exhaust fumes. Have any of you noticed this?

That is normal because of the way the air flow around/over your body and creates a vortex /negative air pressure behind you, Causing it to pull the exhaust fumes up and over your back till it hits the air going over your helmet.

oh ya! I stink after every ride. I dont even take my jeans off (if I'm riding in my pants around town, full leathers for weekend rides and track days.) in my bedroom. I toss them straight into the washer. As for my AP*'s jacket, it dosnt really attract the smell that bad because its leather.

That smell is exactly the reason I am selling my '04 1KRR. I used to ride everywhere - since I have had this bike I can only ride it somewhere if I bring a change of clothes in my tank bag. I used to ride my old CBR's 25+ per year. This bike is four years old and I just turned 4,000 miles. I ride my '92 GSX-R more often which is really sad.

Never again will I have underseat exhaust on a streetbike. I can't ride to customer sites, or my office, or to restaurants, or nightclubs, or anywhere else where people will smell me.

Can't say I've noticed any smell at all from my bike, or on my clothes ... mines a 2006 with just over 20,000 miles (all by me btw).
