Default Burnt Plastics

Im going to be buying a 06 1kRR in the spring time, but I heard from a few different guys that the plastics and fairings could get melted or burnt like where it says honda on the side fairings, and under the rear fairing by the muffler under the seat. Is this true?? When I get one if it still has the stock muffler on it I'll change that probably to a Yoshimura Carbonfiber and rear fender eliminator with flush mounts. Just trying to find out as much about the bike before I get it. I dont want the fairings looking bad.

I have a silv/blk 04 1k and side fairing had a yellow melted place on it by 3000 miles but warranty replaced it 1st time some kind of defective paint they said and they put some kind of heat rap under the new one but still turning back now to yellow you have to really look to see it though nothing big. It has a yosh stainless on it and some color change in the back not alot. Heard the fixed the melting problem for 05
