Chainstretcher i have Ridden a 1000RR i was considering it as a backup bike next to my busa and well what you musta read about more weight on the feet i don't know how they pulled that off i found it hard not to have the weight on my arms and shoulders i can at least ride my busa without so much and i know what your saying i'm looking at something other then a busa if thats the case i know there under powered but the Intercepter is about your best bet or finding an old blackbird or save your pennies and wait till they hopefully relese a new black bird or newer version of the intercepter with a bigger motor i know your probly looking for more power thats why i suggested the black bird, and the intercepter are really the only 2 bikes that can be sport ridden like the busa that i feel can give you what your looking for.

but thats just my 2 cents

Berserkbusa -- what's that Busa putting on the ground? 1360 -- my guess is low 200's. At some point, head on over to suzukihayabusa.org and talk to Dennis (Motorhead) about a ghetto kit for your setup. Boost is absolutely addicting. I read here that someone wanted to know how to do 2nd gear wheelies on the CBR1000RR. The answer was some convoluted explanation of twisting, letting go, leaning back, farting, etc. With the turbo 4th gear POWER wheelies are the norm. Imagine doing 150mph and the front wheel starts coming up under acceleration.

I digress ... the awesome power of the Busa + my short wheelbase and raised rear (all for handling) made the beast absolutely impossible for me to ride anymore.

I have recently acquired a new '04 CBR1000RR and find that for me it is indeed more comfy than the Busa. Everything but the seat. I had the factory gel seat on the Busa and buddy that was a beautiful thing. Imagine I'll get used to the Honda seat. I'm 6' even and unless I pressed my upper body forward, all my weight was on my legs. I guess everybody's riding style is a little different so the ergos affect ya differently. But for me, so far so good.

It's probly because i'm 6'2 and i'm a long legged man i never said i didn't like the 1000RR i'm kinda in that whole man what should i get next i'd really like a turbo busa i hear ups and downs all the time of them but with no real good turbo tuners even somewhat close to me i'm a bit reluctant to take the plung especially on the bike i have now cause everyone tells me i need to put turbo pistons in it i'm like man i just had all the work done to it now i have to tear it down and do it diffrent to support turbo but who knows i'd like to get a turbo busa as another bike be nice if i could find an LE model turbo busa or Get an LE and Turbo it but from what i see it would almost be cheaper to buy one someone has buit but then i wonder gee why are they selling it? and am i buying someone elses headache which brings me back to building my own cause frankly i like to spend the little extra and build it right the first time kinda mentality thats what i had done with my current bike when it blew up

Ive even see decent deals on used turbo setups and had planned to purchase them and have them sit on my self till i found a good used bike for them or took the plundge and put them on mine but i got so many ideas on what i wana do to many wants and not enought money lol

I'm glad your comfortable on the 1000RR i wasn't that bad i was just doing a comparison on what i know i'm really looking into trying to snag a new 1000RR repsol edition for when i get to the twisty area of my state and for some track days that i wana partake in next year i know my busa can do them but when i just spent about 5G's on a custom paint i'm to paranoid to ride it that aggressive anymore

Anyways good luck and keep in touch if i get a 1000RR also we can swap mod ideas

Hey, I just noticed your sprocket -- 18 / 42 is virtually identical to stock except you gotta run more chain. What were you looking for when you chose those sprockets? If ya put the 17 back on you'll notice wheelie potential is significantly increased. Gas mileage will suck worse tho.

Strip and street riding 18 42 is slightly taller then stock so was great on the road
pop a 16 on and i was ready for the drag strip i thought that was less messy then changeing the rear out all the time

You are wise in the ways of sprockets grasshopper. My solution was to have a spare cush drive with attached sprocket. Remove rear axle, pop out the old and pop in the new. Once I shortened the wheelbase, I didn't have enough chain to go up on the rear sprocket so I just ran stock. Of course with 300hp ya don't really need to screw around with sprockets to go fast.

Well i do have a spare wheel also but i found that more of a hassel to switch much easuer to just zap the front on and off since i have air tools
was thinking of turboin my bike but i think i'm gona just leave it and fine tune my 60 shot of nos and get a 03 left over VFR and tour it out i need to keep my nose clean for a couple more years so my insurance rates can go down and i have owned a couple VFR's before love the bikes just wish they would put alittle more power to them
would love a Repsol edition RR but at 4000 for insurance i don't think so granted i can get a st1300 for 600 isn't that odd and the vfr is 1100. wow isn't it odd how insurance works
