Novice group passing inside and out, with 25 riders? How much to just come film the carnage?

Thanks SPEED. (He's on SBN too )

Bike Prep & Gear Requirements To Pass Tech Inspection

BIKE

Tires: Must be near new condition with at least 75% tread left. Always best to have new tires when possible. Always best to stick to the tires you are familiar with when possible. If you decide to switch to a tire you are unfamiliar with, it’s best to start out slower & work up to your usual pace as you get used to them.Adjust pressure to desired amount before heading to tech inspection.

Mirrors: “MUST” be removed.

Controls: (throttle, clutch, brake lever needs to move freely and snap back into the closed position. Make sure your bar ends are secured. Rear sets should have some type of thread lock on them to keep them from coming loose. Passenger pegs must be removed or zip tied. Make sure your grips are secure.

Lights & Signals: Must be taped over & the fuses pulled.

Engine: Must be in good working order - No leaks!

Tighten/Check: Frequently removed bolts, drain bolt, oil filter etc.

Oil: Make sure your fluid level is correct before you arrive at the track.

Wheel Weights: Must be taped securely so they don’t fly off.

Bodywork: Make sure all fasteners are tight. If you have a race style body that hold fluids in the pan, check that it’s dry before going onto the track. If you have washed your bike or if it’s been sitting out in the rain, it can fill up with water that can come out while on the track causing you to crash.

Brakes: Pads must have more than 50% left. When in doubt…replace them. We recommend bleeding brakes ahead of time. Brake fluid absorbs water, so old brake fluid boils a lot easier. Nothing worse than arriving at a corner only to find that the fluid has boiled and you have zero brakes (until the 3rd or 4th pump). A high temp fluid like Motul or ATE Super Blue is a good recommendation also.

Chain: Must not have kinks in it & must not be too loose or too tight. Chains should be adjusted so that the suspension has full range of motion.

Radiator Fluid: Antifreeze/Coolant “MUST” be flushed out completely & replaced with either water or Water Wetter/water combination.

GEAR

Leather Suit: Can be either one or two piece & must not be falling apart. Two-piece leathers need to have a full circumference zipper & always be zipped together while on the track. Novice group may use a one piece Aerostitch style suit as long as it is in good condition & has some extra protection in the shoulder, knee, & elbow areas.

Helmet: Must be undamaged & not be older than 5 years. Must meet Snell or DOT approval. Also must be full faced with a windscreen.

Boots: Boots must be street bike style over the ankle. Please ask if you aren’t sure if your boots meet these requirements.

Gloves: Must be leather Gauntlet style that fit over the sleeve of the leather suit. Motocross style gloves are not permitted.

Back Protector: Required for the Advanced group & recommended for Novice & Intermediate groups.

Under Armor: Not required, but highly recommended to help your body stay cooler while riding in warmer temperatures.

Regarding the rules, and two piece zip together suits; My zipper goes almost entirely around me save for a few inches in the very front, I suppose so I can itch myself easier. Does that meet the requirements for a "full circumference zipper?"

Yes. What's refered to as a "full circumfrence zipper" is generally only a 75% circumfrence zipper. They never go all the way around.

Those should be fine - what they don't want to see are the suits that have only a foot-long zipper at the back.

You're barefoot for this, correct?

Alex, what's the deal with the passenger pegs - haven't heard that one before?
