Gmr = Glendora mountain road
Grr = Glendora ridge road

if you head north on the 39 from the meet spot, follow the road on google maps. We turn right on East Fork, hairpin up the backside of the mountains on gmr up to the overlook, left on Grr and ride across the top of the mountains, then stop to east in Baldy. After eating, we go back across Grr, pass the overlook onto a new stretch of Gmr, and down the front side of the mountains into Glendora.

GMR is super tight & gravelly. GRR is 45 degrees downhill and tight with no guard rail on the cliff side. Both are about impossible for a car.

I'm sorry you've had problems riding gmr and grr. Lol. I've ridden them a million times and I think your description is very misleading.

Gmr between east fork and the overlook is run Uphill and yes it's tight, but no it's not gravelly. Grr is more open, a bit faster, and NOT downhill at a 45 degree angle, buy it runs almost flat across the top of the mountains. What you're probably thinking of when you mention the downhill is probably the other half of GMR. It's the best part of the ride. A few 180 degree turns, lots S's, and lots of knee dragging if you're into that sort of thing.

Did you crash there lately or something? Why are you hating on GMR/GRR?

Did I say anything about hating it?

I'm just telling it like how I see it. I love Azusa(39) and the backside where GMR comes out with the big sweepers. Not too crazy about the climb up GMR to the lookout point and the single width road up there.

As for turns, S's, and knee dragging, I love all of that. But I do it on the track, where it belongs.

Never crashed there, have tons of friends who have, some have gotten pretty hurt. Have you crashed there?
