Default Busted!!!! :(:(

I got busted yesterday going 130 mph on the freeway!!! I got off with a reckless driving ticket only. I know I did kinda get a break but I dont want my insureance company to drop me.. plus a reckless driving looks terrible on your record... do any of you think I can get this dropped to something lower is court?

Your lucky thats all you got. Maybe if you can prove you only were endangering yourself you can get the points dropped. It has been done b4 and in a lot of municipalities you must be endangering other people aside from yourself to constitute reckless driving. However the way you typed it up in the general forums i am under the impression that you were passing cars at that speed. Not smart. I am no hypocrite and i love to speed i consider 130 just getting warmed up and do stupid things often but all you need is one person to pull out in front of you or change lanes in front of you. Rember there is a time and place for everything when there are any cars around what so ever it is not the time and place. Don't fear your own death fear killing someone else. Also HOW THE HELL DID YOU GET CAUGHT? If your going that fast i can assure you that stopping is not in your best intrest if you wish to keep a liscence. You are soooooooo lucky you met cop you did. Shoulda just kept booking and hopped off 2 exits down. No pursuit,no drama cop wouldn't be able to keep you in sight for more then a few seconds. You met a nice cop.

Passing cars at 130 DAMMMMMMMMMNNNNNNN NOOKA. The cop did you a favor big time. You and me are opposites. You do 130 in and outta cars until the cops come afta you then you go slow and i go slow and do 130 in and outta cars after the cops come afta me. Being completely honest with you if you were weaving in and out of cars at those speeds i don't see how a cop could keep you in sight for more then a few seconds. Then again i don't see why you would weave in and out of traffic at those speeds,i'm telling you not smart. One of my friends nearly bought the farm doing the same thing when old guy changed lanes in front of him without looking. Luckily only broke leg. Chalk this up as a lesson learned and you might wanna send cop a thank you because while i say if your bike can do 200 (mmm i want a ZX-14 drool) do it. Don't risk endangering anyone else in the process. Trust me if you had crashed and lived while doing that your insurance wouldn't have been enough to cover the damage you coulda done. Just thank cop and say you realized what you did was stupid and then try and see if lawyer can get it talked down. Because you were weaving in and out of cars walking away without any points is a long shot.

Do us all a favor and try not to double post. But as someone mentioned in the other thread you started...sell the bike to cover your costs and take up a new hobby or sport. This one obviously isn't for you until you mature a little more. Your insurance company should drop you for being so dumb. Ever wonder why everyone else has to pay so much? It's people like you.
You got lucky and met a cop who cut you a break. If he notated the traffic condition (which he probably did) and made any note/mention that you were weaving in and out of traffic you'll have a hard time finding an attorney who will cut your a break. Man up and take your medicing.
And for your hating cops comment in the other thread...don't do studid things and you won't have to deal with them. I doubt that's going to happen though...
