Disorderly conduct??? The max fine is $2500? Screw that just show up and plead guilty and pay the fine and then it's over. Skip it and an FTA warrant will come down and if you get stopped in another state they may extridite you and charge you with FELONY fugitive from justice!!

Maybe your "friend" should have thought about that before doing whatever it was that got him arrested for disorderly conduct. It sucks to spend the money on everything, but your "friend" got caught and it's not time to man up and face the music. Others bring up valid points about background checks and missed opportunities. Any police officer that sees that on your record in any state isn't going to be so quick to cut you a break no matter what your contact with him is regarding. It's going to catch up with you eventually. Someone else already mentioned that "Karma is a bitch."
If your "friend" just happens to be your age, then at 27 he should be willing to man up to his charges instead of looking for a way out. Hope once he's married his wife never wants to go to AZ for anything...that could make for an interesting explanation as to why you can't go. I'm sure she'd love the honesty.
Be a man, tell "him" to take care of "his" issues. And if you think they're going to make the warrant disappear, you're sadly mistaken. The statue of limitations has more of an effect on the window of opportunity to be charged with an offense. And that has already happened. The charges just continue to build now. It's really not worth it...

just wait for a year and the warrant will be outdated... unless they re-file for another one, you'll be just fine to go back to AZ... (this is how it is in Southern Illinois anyway)
A "friend" got pulled over for speeding (65 in a 50), was 16 at the time, no license, no insurance. Needless to say, he never informed his parents. At the ripe age of 18, he (my "friend") got pulled over for blue neon under his truck. Lo and behold, several warrants popped up (same state-TX, different county). He was arrested, transfered to the county holding the warrants, and booked. A week later and $2300, he recieved a stern lesson to pay for tickets and show up for court.
Take care of it, no matter the cost right now. It will cost your "friend" a lot more later.
The government and the law can not be hid from forever!!! Scary, but true!
besides that being some of the worst advice ever, i suspect that counseling someone to commit a criminal act violates rules of professional conduct for attorneys. get a new lawyer.
