So..... I got a ticket on campus today for failure to stop right on red. Yes I did it, no Im not bitching about it. Does anyone know how much this ticket is in NY? Is there a way for me to get it dropped to parking on pavement without a lawyer? Any help is good help- thanks
Not sure how much it is there. Never had anyone try to plea down a failure to obey a traffic control device. Might be able to get them to dismiss it upon costs of the fine and other fees.

Depending on your driving record you might be able to get them to dismiss it. I would see if I could get a certifed copy of your driving history to take to court with you, it always looks good when you show up prepared.
Most people in my experience will go to court and plead guilty if they will drop the points, but if your trying to get the whole thing dismissed you will probably have to take it to trial.

I cant use my driving record because I have points on it (speeding tix dropped down to non moving violations with the help of lawyers). I talked to the lunch lady today whose husband was is the head of UPD (university police) and she said she will try to get it dropped through him since he hates the officer who gave it to me. Ouch! Getting a ticket fixed in my state is a criminal charge! Just be careful about doing it.
